The University of Plymouth has been awarded the Athena Swan Silver Award.
The University of Plymouth want to help reduce menstrual inequities, so the Faculty of Health (FoH) Equality team have arranged for boxes of period products to be available across their locations as part of their Athena Swan initiatives.
The Red Box Scheme supports any staff, students or visitors who are caught short on campus by ensuring they have access to free sanitary products when they need them.
Where possible, the boxes have been placed in gender neutral/accessible toilets so that all genders have access.
The red box has been situated in this accessible toilet.

There are two park and ride bus stops outside of the Knowledge Spa: one which goes to Langarth just off the A30 on the A391, which is West of the city, and one to Tregurra, which on route goes to Truro Train station and Truro Town centre, and can be accessed off the A39 or from the St Austell direction off the A391.
Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust also has other bus stops on site with frequent connections heading both East into the City of Truro and West of the County.

Welcome to the Clinical Skills Ward. Alongside teaching and learning in the classroom, the ward gives students confidence to enter their placements with realistic skills training.
Clinical skills modules are delivered throughout the programme and includes a range of clinical skills including Basic Life Support, undertaking clinical observation to medications administration, and providing personal care.

Welcome to the Cornwall Health Library. The library is one of the largest NHS Health Libraries in the Southwest and so have a large extended stock of academic books.
As the library team are serving our NHS staff population with specialisms as well as students, they provide lots of additional reading materials as well as the university reading list items.
All these books are available to students and afterwards if you continue your journey as an NHS member of staff in Cornwall.
The library also provides plenty of University of Plymouth networked computers for students to use around the library.
The library is open 24/7 and are open all year round to healthcare students and staff – you can use the space at whatever time suits you.
